Let us help you demystify design to create your own personal wardrobe of gorgeous clothes!

All our courses are designed for confident beginners or intermediate sewists.

I am bilingual and speak fluent Welsh.

Day courses are held between 10.00 - 12.30pm and evening courses between 6.00 - 8.30pm (unless otherwise stated).

Classes are held at our Sewing with Style studio just above the Quilting Bee, 30 Queens Road, Llandudno LL30 1AZ

You should be competent in the use of a sewing machine to get the best out of our classes.

  • Intensive Beginners - 1 day course

    Saturday, 25 January

    Have you always wanted to learn how to sew? This intensive beginners course is designed just for you! You will make two items to take home with you: a Japanse Knot Bag with origami trim plus a woven vest top. All materials are included on this course.

  • Starting Dressmaking - 1 day course

    Saturday, 8 February

    **1 SPACE LEFT**

    This course is for those who can already use a sewing machine, but are stuck when it comes to using a sewing pattern. 'Starting Dressmaking' starts by taking you measurements and transferring the information to your pattern. We then cut and start assembling the garment, adjusting both the seams and pattern as we go on.

    You can attend one or all three of the one day courses. You can make any of the garments on any of the dates listed below.

    What will you make? The smart/casual top, skirt and trouser can be made with a simple print to dress up with jeans or can be made in a more formal fabric for work. We encourage you to think about using materials you already have or ‘deadstock’ fabrics that would otherwise be unwanted. Rather than consume more materials reuse or reduce our consumption while making new garments for your wardrobe.

    Ideal for women from size 10 to 22, stay chic with the stunning designs featured in this pattern collection. We will take you step-by-step through the fitting and construction process to produce a beautiful garments and are aiming to give opportunities to make small accessories to limit the fabric waste.   • French Couture Jacket - 4.5 Day Course

    09:30hrs Friday 25 April until 12:30hrs on Tuesday. 29 April

    Days 1, 2, 3, 4: 09:30 - 16:30hrs, Day 5: 09:30 - 12:30hrs

    The French Style jacket is a wardrobe staple.  The deceptively simple shape hides a multitude of couture techniques.  Come and join us to make this classic at Sewing with Style.  Lose yourself in the hand sewing techniques honed in the ateliers in Paris.

    We will start by making a toile (practice garment).  From then we will fit the garment to your figure and make adjustments to the pattern.  The following days will be spent cutting the beautiful tweed (possible pattern matching!), quilting, fitting a sleeve, adding pockets, fringing (optional), gimp braiding (optional) and using hidden techniques to make this a truly beautiful addition to your wardrobe.

    Course inclusions: Exclusive Sewing with Style French Couture Jacket Pattern (not available for general sale), high quality interfacing for the full jacket, specialist tuition in French Couture Techniques.

    Location: Sewing with Style Studio, an airy studio based above the popular Quilting and Haberdashery shop in Craig y Don, Llandudno.

    What you need to bring: your own sewing machine (we do have a small number that can be hired at a nominal fee), your fabric, sewing kit.
