Let us help you demystify design to create your own personal wardrobe of gorgeous clothes!
All our courses are designed for confident beginners or intermediate sewists.
I am bilingual and speak fluent Welsh.
Day courses are held between 10.00 - 12.30pm and evening courses between 6.00 - 8.30pm (unless otherwise stated).
Classes are held at our Sewing with Style studio just above the Quilting Bee, 30 Queens Road, Llandudno LL30 1AZ
You should be competent in the use of a sewing machine to get the best out of our classes.
Introducing the 'Go Two Piece' PDF pattern
Go Two Piece PDF Pattern
The Go Two Piece PDF pattern is a stylish and simple 2-piece jersey separates set with a complementary loop scarf. The simple design combines refined style and comfort. The top has a gentle batwing sleeve and a band that sits comfortably on your lower waist. The skirt band is designed so it doesn’t need elastic- all you need is the fabric, thread and you're good to go!

Intensive Beginners - 1 Day Course

Course Suitability: beginner
Location: Sewing with Style Studio, The Quilting Bee, Craig y Don, Llandudno
- You will start by choosing your fabrics for both designs.
- Practicalities: Threading your machine, cutting your bag and vest top.
- We will then practice straight stitching before we get stuck in!
- Make a stylish origami knot bag and learn how to sew around a curve, insert a lining and decorate by using origami pleating techniques
- In the afternoon, we will make a cotton vest top where you will learn how to fit your pattern, add facings and top stitch.
At the end of the day, you will have two items that you can show off with pride!
Course includes all materials and instructions which you can take home with you.
Please bring your own sewing machine, or if you prefer, we can loan you a machine for a small sum.

You can make the sew along lapelled 'great coat' or make any coat that you choose or this beginners coat as pictured.
Learning points:
- Fitting a jacket

- Adding a lining
The use of top of the range overlockers are included, plus the use of cutting tables and irons. There is a fully stocked haberdashery at the Quilting Bee downstairs, therefore any forgotten bits can be purchased at class.

Go Two Piece - 1 Day Course

Come and join to make our new pattern! The Go Two Piece.
This outfit will take you from casual to cocktails in an instant.
The gentle fluid lines hugs the body without being too restrictive. The top has a batwing sleeve, cuffs and a chunky waistband. The skirt is straight with a slight flair also finished with a chunky waistband.

The French Style jacket is a wardrobe staple. The deceptively simple shape hides a multitude of couture techniques. Come and join us to make this classic at Sewing with Style. Lose yourself in the hand sewing techniques honed in the ateliers in Paris.
We will start by making a toile (practice garment). From then we will fit the garment to your figure and make adjustments to the pattern. The following days will be spent cutting the beautiful tweed (possible pattern matching!), quilting, fitting a sleeve, adding pockets, fringing (optional), gimp braiding (optional) and using hidden techniques to make this a truly beautiful addition to your wardrobe.
Course inclusions: Exclusive Sewing with Style French Couture Jacket Pattern (not available for general sale), high quality interfacing for the full jacket, specialist tuition in French Couture Techniques.
