26_09_12 Starting Dressmaking

Location: The Quilting Bee, Llandudno
Make your first garment fitted to your body.
- Cutting the pattern to your body measurements
- Cutting the fabric
- Creating the garment using our own Janome machines (or bring your own) and Babylock overlockers
- Final press and fit
This course includes your own Simplicity pattern and all materials.

26_11_15 Intensive Beginners Course
SUNDAY, 15 November
Course duration: 9.00 - 4.30pm
Course Suitability: beginner
Location: Sewing with Style Studio, The Quilting Bee, Craig y Don, Llandudno
- You will start by choosing your fabrics for both designs.
- Practicalities: Threading your machine, cutting your bag and vest top.
- We will then practice straight stitching before we get stuck in!
- Make a stylish origami knot bag and learn how to sew around a curve, insert a lining and decorate by using origami pleating techniques
- In the afternoon, we will make this cotton vest top where you will learn how to fit your pattern, add facings and top stitch.
At the end of the day, you will have two items that you can show off with pride!
Course includes all materials and instructions which you can take home with you.
Please bring your own sewing machine, or if you prefer, we can loan you a machine for a small sum.
